Holdout Notes is a static guide site. We do not run Google AdSense or comment forms. We do use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views.
What we collect now
If you email hello@holdoutnotes.com, we see whatever you put in that message. Hosting logs (IP, user agent, requested URL) may be stored by the host for security and uptime. We do not sell that data.
Vercel Web Analytics
Page views, referrers, and country-level location are collected by Vercel’s cookieless Web Analytics so we can see which guides are used. It does not identify you by name or email. See Vercel’s analytics privacy notes.
Steam embeds
Some pages embed the official Steam widget. Steam may set cookies or collect data under Valve’s own policy when that iframe loads.
If we add ads later
When search traffic is stable we may add Google AdSense. This policy will be updated first. We will not put ads over tables or step lists.
